Fiona O’Shea – Singer Songwriter
Emerging from the depths of the music world is the vibrant talent of Fiona O’Shea, whose unique voice and prolific songwriting are redefining the boundaries of rock-infused country. O’Shea’s journey into the world of music ignited at a tender age, when she began crafting her compositions with just three guitar chords. Her stage presence is a mesmerising tapestry that weaves together influences from legends like John Prine and Led Zeppelin, seamlessly blending her original creations with classics from the likes of the Rolling Stones, Stevie Nicks, and Sheryl Crow.
Fiona O’Shea is bubbling to the surface of the music scene with her fierce voice and as a prolific songwriter reimagining the rock in country. From the very start, her infectious and melodic tunes grab your attention, featuring raw, soulful vocals and electrifying guitar riffs.
In 2010 O’Shea released her debut EP “Rose” earning her a spot on the AMRAP charts. Over the next few years, she continued to build on that enthusiasm, garnering recognition as a finalist in the MUSICOZ Australian Independent Awards and making it to the second round of judging for the APRA Professional Development Awards.
O’Shea’s talent continued to attract attention and in 2014 she signed a publishing contract with James Donaldson Publishing Groups in the United States and performed a showcase at Turn Up – Sunshine Coast Music Industry’s Conference in 2015 which further solidified her place as a singer-songwriter in the country rock genre.
Going on to refine her sound and style, O’Shea’s career reached new heights in 2020 when she released her EP “Walk Like A Giant” with single “Big Bang” cracking the top 10 of the AMRAP regional charts.
In 2021 her single “Build Me A House” debuting at #10 on the iTunes Singles Country Chart gave her the opportunity to work with top producer Peter Koppes (The Church) and accomplished musician Jackie Barnes.
In 2022 O’Shea signed a distribution deal with Rock This Country Records and was a successful recipient of the Sunshine Coast Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) which allowed her to release three new singles titled Falling Off Getting Back On, Black Jack and High High High. These tracks along with her existing repertoire have earned her spots at festivals and events in Australia including the Mitchell Creek Rock and Blues Festival, Gympie Music Muster, Tamworth Country Music Festival and residencies on Heron Island and Outback Queensland, as well as supports for Dirty Rascal (Melbourne) Jerry Speiser – Men At Work, Adam Brand & The Outlaws and Bill Chambers.
Fiona O’Shea is a force to be reckoned with in the country rock scene and the stage is now set for her upward trajectory on the wings of her unique heart, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll.
